Indication: in view of the limited data for this technique, recommendations based on published data cannot be provided (1).

Complications: no vascular puncture, 0.3% conversion in general anesthesia, hoarseness in 22% (duration 2 days), dyspnea in 7% (duration 2 days) and 0% postoperative neurologic symptoms in 654 patients (1,2).
